I find it werid that the made-up stories are what he gets all emotional about and wants to focus on the most. Not so much the bit, but if this was the first time he got a police visit I think that prompted some awkward discussions at the hovel.
It had now spilled over from online to IRL and this is where Niki and others probably pleaded to drop it.
