Is there a benefit to being officially diagnosed with autism?

I 100% have it, I'm fucking retarded. I'm wondering if there's any benefits to getting diagnosed so I can get out of work commitments or something. I also remember that Curb episode where Larry got away with being a dick to people by saying he had autism.

What I should be asking... is there any negatives? Will they force medication on me or something?

you can be misdiagnosed with anything. what if you catch a doctor on a bad day and they see your retard face come in and say "i diagnose feednanaogura with autism and retardation and also manic depression and schizophrenia". all because the doctor was in a bad mood that day. dont go to doctors ever. then they commit you and strap you down to a table and put electronic chips in your brain that make you see things that dont exist. and make you not see things that do exist.

That's exactly how I feel when my friend pointed out I have autism, and I asked a close honest friend I knew for years if they ever suspected that and they replied "yeah I just naturally assumed but didn't want to ask in case it was rude".
