Growing up in the 90’s I actually became a fan of Waylon thanks to Mark Chesnutt who’s done some damn fine covers.
Ironhead Haynes was a real one but was a bitch to Billy Joe Shaver so I’m glad they chopped off his foot before he shuffled off.

I always liked Waylon, that stuff is real country and not the nonsense you see today. Todays country is either these almost boy band type singers or as best described by Kid Rock as “just rock bands with a fiddle”. I saw Waylon’s son play a small show with Duff McKagan of Guns N Roses and it wasn’t bad. They did “Dust N Bones” which is a great deep cut from GNR.
