I’m watching it for the third time. I enjoy it, but I still don’t particularly understand it.

I saw it on edibles in the theater the first time and I had to get up and leave when they start having a literal war in the desert between two armies and you're just like "Now who are all these people?"

It took four viewings and hours of reading articles before I understood even the general plot, but I'm still not convinced the movie makes sense.

Also the black protagonist had no charisma, even though they wrote his dialogue to make it seem so. I couldn't buy him romancing that white lady. And Kenneth Branagh's Russian accent was horrible. I think it was the most expensive bad movie I've ever seen.

I like it. The visuals are cool.

The general idea is great and I think I get it, a future society can reverse entropy, and communicate with the past through the bad Russian guy to activate some sort of device that can reverse entropy of the entire planet, saving their own future in the future at the expense of the pasts future. The grandather paradox.

But in terms of who knows what when, and what they should know at which point in the film, I have zero idea what’s going on. Does it even make sense at all?

The idea that the black guy starts the Tenet organization in the future but doesn't know it in the present is what bugs me. If that's the case than the whole timeline is a loop and no one controls their own fate. It's psuedo-intellectual nonsense with coop visuals.

I really like the concept of a perpetual temporal war between the present and the future. I don’t really understand the details or why the movie timelines protagonist has to go on a journey of discovery, wouldn’t they only know if elements of the future explained it to them in full, so why does he have to discover it all in ignorance this way?

This is the stupidest concept to ever be turned into a blockbuster action movie, it's literally the opposite of what's supposed to happen in an action movie

"what if the bullet went back into the gun instead of out?" lol it's terrible!
