I just bought some vintage Celestion speakers

these are gonna sound fukkin awesome!

I can't decide whether to build a new amp, or just use something else I've got; a 2+1 Altec Lansing set, got a subwoofer then 2 general range orbitals, I could swap those out with the Celestions & build a couple nice crossovers to provide full range but work with the sub still.

This aint even my best audio gear, but Celestion vintage have a uniquely cool sound. I can make a zoomer coom with my audio setup... the apple airpods are a metaphor for the low-resolution life they experience, & no antidepressant will fix that feeling of synthetically produced dullness, but deep-down they know it aint right.

yep, it would be the lazy move to just replace those others with the Celestions,

I might just buy or build an amp & run them straight stereo, I shouldn't be lazy!

Subs are great for listening but terrible for mixing. Hope you're not mixing drum and bass with a subwoofer on.

I'm not a fan of subs tbf, obviously if I re-jigged this 2+1 with some built crossovers then it'd barely be noticable
