I liked the Chip podcast when he first started doing it. A lot of people did.I once referred to Jim Norton as brilliant at some point in 2011.
I’m sorry
I always and still do think that Jim was a solid third mic and not a bad interviewer at all. He always seemed invested in his guest’s opinion as opposed to bits and pieces posted here where he’s more concerned with taking shits at work and only doing the kind of prep that prevents AIDS.I once referred to Jim Norton as brilliant at some point in 2011.

We all at one point thought he was a funny guy who pulled no punches.I once referred to Jim Norton as brilliant at some point in 2011.

I thought he was a terrible interviewer. The Steve Coogan interview really proves that to me. Plus he loved interviewing porn stars who were always the worst along with wrestlers. Seemed like he’d only have an interest in interviewing people he wanted to fuck or wanted to get a picture with. And that opie’s eye vid of him being dismissive of Malcom Mcdowell is infuriating, though I think it was because Malcom wouldn’t sign some particular thing.I always and still do think that Jim was a solid third mic and not a bad interviewer at all. I honestly thought the worst came during the OpieWithJimmy days. Opie definitely admitted to this later on about Jimmy with the pornstar bullshit that carried into the terrible Mary Jean booking afterwards.I thought he was a terrible interviewer. I never listed to O&J to be completely fawkin honest witcha. I thought Anth was a decent interviewer when a serious guest was on. He was more natural and conversational than the worm at least.I honestly thought the worst came during the OpieWithJimmy days. Opie definitely admitted to this later on about Jimmy with the pornstar bullshit that carried into the terrible Mary Jean booking afterwards.
From a comparative standpoint it was a degree or two above the other two who had trouble hiding their contempt which was part of da bit I guess. Anthony as much as I hate to say this now was better about this at least when listening to loudmouth Opie who didn’t even bother to sound invested at times.
The Vice show was hack stand up humor that most stand ups are noted for. Same thing with Artie Lange who was also a good third mic despite in retrospect constantly falling back on anti-gay humor on stage. No idea why this guy had his Vice talk show scrapped after 3 weeks.
- I never know what to do with my hands in a scene
- What aftershave are you wearing you smell terrific
- I haven't seen it but I've heard it's funny
- Can I get a photo before you leave?
He was a good third mic but all 3 of them were terrible interviewers. Plus they only interviewed boring idiots for the most part.I always and still do think that Jim was a solid third mic and not a bad interviewer at all. He always seemed invested in his guest’s opinion as opposed to bits and pieces posted here where he’s more concerned with taking shits at work and only doing the kind of prep that prevents AIDS.
When a serious crew was in especially Patrice, Colin and even Burr it was a much more lucid environment. DiPaolo and Vos not so much I thought. Unless Rich was willing to make an ass of himself for da bit.I wanted to gouge his eyeballs out with a spoon after the george wendt interview
He's best as fourth mic for a quick one liner, a sniper, burr, patrice, dipaolo, even bobby kelly would have been better on third mic.
Norton has zero life experience, no tales, unlike say anthony.
He just broods and works on his craft from his high rise apt, goes to carolines, porn for 3 hours, repeat
That's why j and s is unlistenable, they have nothing interesTing to say
norton really is a fucking loser. albeit, a rich loser
I still really liked Norton at that point but that was an obviously terrible idea. The only long Chip bit that was funny is when he we pretended to be on The Tonight Show. So annoying hearing people genuinely refer to it as a “podacast on the sub.I liked the Chip podcast when he first started doing it. A lot of people did.

You cannot help but admit on a daily basis how cripplingly stupid you are, brother.I always and still do think that Jim was a solid third mic and not a bad interviewer at all. My order of funniest shows with the guests goes Vos, Colin, Patrice, Dipaolo then everyone else. Burr was always underwhelming but never bad. Him and Anthony had no chemustreeee. When a serious crew was in especially Patrice, Colin and even Burr it was a much more lucid environment. DiPaolo and Vos not so much I thought. Unless Rich was willing to make an ass of himself for da bit.
Jimmy passive aggressively ragging on George Wendt even afterwards when he was trying to project a certain image just ties so much into his fake addiction narrative, I agree. I still think he always added something when it was necessary.
Chip was always embarrassing though especially when Dr. Kaku was in the studio an the two morons actually made an attempt at sounding interested. ‘Ooooh, six sextillion tonssssd.... that’s a looot!’
Wow…just wowi un ironically posted the opinion it could be bigger than the joe rogan experience
