I cannot persecute Auntie Cumia for his lack of knowledge. He is alcoholic north-redneck trash. Opie discovered the slimy faggot and added him to the team. Opie negotiated them into bigger and better cities. Auntie had absolutely no idea what was going on, he just said 'Okay Ope, sounds great.' Hung up the phone, and went back to bed. Layabout nigger didn't understand his role in the show until 5 years AFTER his own career ended.
But I can persecute Auntie for insulting Opie "going to the phones," and then when you were in a jam with Ronnie B vs. Flaherty, you immediately went to the phones, cackling "wouldn't that be so hacky if I did that?" AS YOU DID IT. Wow! He really leaned into it there fans. So quick witted.
I can persecute Auntie for publicly letting it slip that he "finally understands what Opie did," that day. That it took you a quarter of a century before you understood how your own career operated... Maybe not something you wanna brag about... And thinking it's a diss to the man? Opie made Anthony.
This asshole really didn't know he was half-a-show. THERE WAS A REAL BIG "&" IN THE SHOW NAME. They were a comedy team. He really listened to those needy political hacks in comments and twitter telling him that he was the star of the show, he truly believed it.
I can persecute Anthony for these things, but I won't. In the end, I cannot expect an unaccountable person to be held accountable. We know he is a manchild who needed an Opie to straighten him out and set the table to make him marketable, useful, or interesting in any sense. And Opie needed supporting talent to interact with, who could do some voices as a bonus. Anthony was literally Opie's bit dog. Ope would point at Anthony and say "Tom Brokaw doing Dice's act NOW!" and Anthony would start tap-dancing for treats.
Anthony was also Opie's attack dog. Whenever someone would try to play the divide and conquer technique, Auntie would turn into a pitbull defending Opie and his role on the show. If he was lying then he's a total co-dependent faggot. And if he's telling the truth then he's a complete AND total co-dependent faggot. After one of their last blowups with Carol Miller when their show ran over into her timeslot, she tried to play the divide and conquer technique and called Opie useless but said Anthony was talented.
Did Auntie say "Thanks Carol, I KNOW!" No... He meekly said "No.. I'm useless too." Because Opie had the dog Auntie trained properly to defend the show when people try to play to their egos and pick away at the foundation of the show. Maybe this was the one thing Auntie learned from Opie and then he decided to play the divide and conquer technique against himself, successfully making that half-a-fag the new owner of a half-a-show.
Opie was doing radio before and after Anthony was in his life. Anthony was the sidekick. Second billing. His name starts with an A but it goes second? Hmm... Make you think who the actual star of the show was? Maybe it was the guy who spoke first, introduced everything, gave cues to the engineers when to hit breaks or end the show, or to play clips... You know, the guy in control of the situation. The one who runs things. "The Boss" as they say. Anthony was Opie's employee service dog. And that dog lived to an old, sick, tired age. That dog needed to be put down.
