My two cents on how all of this should wind up.
Milwaukee Police finally decide that they have enough evidence to convict Patrick for the murder of Bernell Trammell. The trial becomes a media sensation, and Patrick is held in contempt a record number of times for sassing the judge.
Over the course of the trial, Patrick hardens and becomes more unhinged. He shaves his head and tattoos a blue checkmark between his brow.
He is ultimately convicted for the murder, and sentenced to life. Despite being assigned to a posh, minimum security penitentiary due to SFWA influence, Pat still kills himself inside of two weeks because the prison has no wi/fi and forbids social media. His death becomes page 5 fodder.
Free of Pat, Niki sobers and cleans herself up, becoming a strong Milwaukee 7. She enters into a relationship with Anica, and together, the two host a very successful podcast about childless women called No Child.
Due to the widespread coverage of the trial, Nice Poscast Stupid becomes a huge nationwide hit. Northeast Philly makes a parody song about Pat set to the tune of the Baha Men's "Who Let the Dogs Out" entitled "Who'll Let the Hog Out?". The audience loves it, and Philly joins the cast full time, alongside Boomia and Mews. The podcast retitles itself The Circlejerk.
The Circlejerk becomes a haven of comedy and generates a very devoted subreddit. Eventually, tensions develop between the hosts. Fans on one side argue that Philly and Boomia make it funny, others say that Dan keeps it all on track, and the rest simply simp for Mew.
Eventually the show fractures, and an entire audience who never even heard of OnA take sides. Each host finds their own platform through which to knock the others to an increasingly dwindling audience. Meanwhile, Starship Fonzie airs its 400th episode to an audience of 45, which makes him think of Trump, leading to his suicide. It doesn't make the news.
Seth Simons comes out as trans.
