He was super, super shitty about two weeks ago; which was about the time the SFWA were drawing up their objection to Quasi's subpeona.

I think they've had the talk, and Pat's convinced himself that SFWA's dubious motion to quash and $5k invoice will put an end to it.

The money they lost means nothing to them.

Funding your friend's vanity projects with charity money is a felony, though. The lost money won't bother them, but exposure, jail and losing the SFWA its tax-free charity status might.
