For a bartender job they want 3 references and at least 3 recent jobs. If you’re a bartender the only question should be if you have a bar license, (depends on state) bar experience, and where. Anything outside of that is too much work for a local bar that isn’t even that large. I’ve seen applications for high volume casino nightclubs without all that crap. Asking for references on a serving / bartender job when places are short staffed is beyond stupid. If you can make drinks and can move around that’s all you need.
