The argument for normal people should be fundamentally shifted.

I don’t care one bit about the GDP, or how cheap imported crap is that I don’t need. We need to measure our standards of living in how safe our streets are, how clean they are, how many local people are employed locally with good dignified jobs. I couldn’t care less if I can’t afford as much Chinese plastic crap or frivolous electronics.

Are you sure you’d want to pay like $8000 for a flat screen TV? I know what you’re getting at but I’m not sure if the average American is truly ready for that big a change to their standard of living.

Yes, of course. Let’s put Americans first again, cheaper houses, cheaper mortgages, better jobs, better conditions, safer streets, more homogenous communities and a powerful church. An education system that educates and doesn’t indoctrinate, teachers who teach and don’t feel entitled to your kids belief system more than you, a health service which prevents you being ill, that fixes your problems when you are and doesn’t just sell you endless pills and vaccines. A military which protects your borders, and doesn’t murder Israeli enemies thousands of miles away, a border that keeps non-productive people out, and only allows in respectful people who adhere to our values.

If the cost of this means you can’t buy 8k TVs cheap, PlayStations, iPhones or you can’t make Indians collect you fast food on an app, or whatever the fuck - then who cares?

Half the niggas here would become suicidal if their Internet connection went out for a week. It's easy to speak light of hardship when you've never endured it.

Just wondering
What's probably going to happen is places like Turkey, Mexico, Indonesia, Vietnam, India (if they don't fuck it up) etc. will replace China as the main source of low cost manufacturing until/unless they cut the shit, technology will ease some of the production they do decide to bring back. People will still be fat and retarded no matter what. Nothing will happen.

China has already been building infrastructure in many of these places and South America for this future. They are investing heavily in other countries to effectively outsource their economy but still be involved in all of the companies. Peru is another big one.

Yeah we'll see how it plays out. They invest a lot but there's malinvestment to be found domestically and perhaps abroad as well. Should be interesting.
