Very tame in OC this year as well. I was watching the parade that’s in Huntington Beach on tv earlier (supposedly the biggest 4th of July parade west of the Mississippi) and even that looked way smaller than normal.

The news kept reporting on how much more expensive hot dogs, beer, condiments, etc are this year.

also tbh who gives a fuck. I've always found travel to be an enormous imposition and I've only ever enjoyed it when I was traveling by myself and had no one to answer to

No particular reason. I was surprised when people here thought it was so odd. Everyone else in my family has left the state but I've never had a good reason. I don't really like doing things or going places. Every time I say this people here freak out for some reason.
