It's kind of scary of how much control Google has over the modern internet, possibly completely. They are the monopolistic corporation who rules over the internet and if they decide to fuck you over, you are basically done. And this is just the internet, forget their payments division and shit.

I can't even imagine what kind of dystopian mass surveillance and spying shit they are in bed with different governments.

But it's useful as I was able to work out what time I left the pub as i literally had no idea how I got home

uBlock Origin block pretty good. Filters out some malicious websites too.

I enabled Google Assistant on my phone about two years ago after constantly ignoring messages about how great it is and that I should use it. Come to find out after setting everything up, it had already been tracking and logging all of my activities and I could retroactively go back before I enabled it, including audio recordings.
