I'm looking for an old CQ set where he bombs terribly, was probably around this era, but he was on a giant stage, with purple/gold drape curtains that he started using to dig himself out of bombing.

You can see him die a little inside when "I know some people find Viet Nam humor a tet offensive, so I don't do it a lot." got a fat goose egg, and it was the best joke in the set. He realized this audience isn't in for the intellectual stuff, so he goes into the "fury and passion of an East German nurse" and "killed a nun with a tire iron" chunks.

Gang of Fitzes no, but you got the other 2. The third one was "don't know too many people died of the clap who didn't have a few fabrications pass between their lips" in reference to George Washington.
