One of the rascals currently texting back and forth with Pat has taken to calling him 'Patrick Pan' since he's a manchild that doesn't want to grow up or accept any responsibility, including for that of his own flesh and blood. I like that name a lot.

I'm sure this is Patrick Pan's favorite scene from Hook for obvious reasons...

I actually have fond memories of this movie, vurry nostalgic. However:
  1. Only a retard would ever claim this to be Spielberg's best movie. Even as a kid I'm taking Indiana Jones over this.
  2. I was a real life actual child when this came out while Pat was going through puberTy at the time. Big (fat) difference.
There’s something very unsettling about a grown man who is really into kids movies while not having actual kids. He loves those “How to Train Your Dragon” movies which came out in his 30s and even went with his brother (two adults and zero kids) to Despicable Me. If some 41 year old childless man was really into Disney kids shows id be calling the cops.

That’s what’s also weird since he thinks its Spielberg’s best. Most movie fans don’t even remember it was a Spielberg movie and Steven has even said he doesn’t like it. He’s even said he hopes to one day be able to watch it and like it which is saying something. It’s like Pat is a big fat retard or something.

Not just Spielberg - nearly everyone who worked on it regretted that film. Hoffman, Hoskins, Roberts, even Robin Williams wasn't happy with it.

I saw it once in TV during a hotel stay, and as someone who admires what Spielberg can do with the most limited and limitless concepts - I loved "Duel" - this movie is terrible. Stale, forced, plodding, and just doesn't work. Not a terrible concept, just weak execution.

I'm not sure if I hate this or A.I. more.

But, it proves the point about Patrick more than most do: this generation of "men" is so devoid of masculinity, introspection and integrity that they never left childhood. Bunch of pussies.

Solid joke but just need to say this is cribbed from one of my favorite scenes in any movie period.

EDIT: Disney won't let me embed it but it's The Incredibles. He's 41.
