I found a bunch of great tools to audit twitter followers but every one requires you to sign into twitter, which I am suspended from. Anyone with a twitter want to have a look at our favorite lolcow and some of his associates?

So far I did find out @Scalzi has like 17% (~32000) fake followers. Pat's seems mostly legit but he still ahs about 400-500 fake followers. granted that was the free version only analyzing up to 10k

I'm guessing fat has a bunch of dormant followers. People who followed him after his abortion tweet was picked up by the media and stopped using Twitter after realizing how gay and useless it is. I would bet that this is like 90% of his followers or maybe more.

The only way to put a serious dent into his follower count would be to reap a bunch of these inactive accounts, but I'm sure there a bunch of other losers with precious follower counts that would be similarly affected, so Twitter would never do that.

real or not, he doesnt get shit for interaction. Its the same handful of people that regularly talk to him. A few times a year he will have a post that gets a little action but nothing really viral. Those 5-6 tweets out of the 25k+ tweets he posts per year. Its amazing how addicted he is to twitter. Follower count only means something when they actually keep your posts numbers always high. Bobo gets better interaction on a regular basis.

I believe they are real followers but majority of them are old dead accounts. Twitter after trump is dying, even before he was banned they said users spend the LEAST amount of time on twitter compared to other social media. Pat got those followers when Twitter was relevant but trends have changed and everything is visual which is why tik tok and Instagram are on top. Nobody wants to read, they want pictures and videos and not “hot takes”. Anyone who takes twitter seriously in 2021 is a loser and most likely fat.

That's Twitter in a nutshell. I saw a Dane Cook tweet the other day with 6 likes. He has 2.7m followers.

Exactly right - and, not to toot my own cakehorn, but on the 10th I mentioned a site that lets you look through his followers for low-engagement and spammy-looking accounts. It's called "Social Bearing", and here's a link:

I had trouble finding obvious spam accounts - Twitter seem to have cracked down on most of the non English speaking Muslim Middle Eastern accounts that used to follow the Pork Jester - so I just hunted down 40-50 dormant accounts over a couple of days and flagged them as spam.

Sure enough Pat took a dip in the ratings shortly after, and seems to have given him the worst single-day dips he's had in months.

So, if you feel like chipping away at him while ensuring Twitter doesn't over-inflate its share price with fake users, go to Social Bearing, sort by Tuqi ("spam") Rating low to high, and the report any low-engagement accounts or accounts that haven't tweeted anything sensible in a while.
