I went through a period of reading various shit on Tachiyomi. My favorite was Dorohedoro, and pretty much everything by Junji Ito. Gantz kicked ass too, but it got pretty retarded around the time vampires were introduced and everything shifts into an alien invasion for some reason. I noticed that about a lot of manga, where the series goes on for a long time and becomes really absurd and stupid the longer it goes. Seems like the Japs don't know how or when to conclude something.

Goblin Slayer (this starts out with a chick getting raped and killed by a goblin)
Berserk
Pumpkin Night
Kichikujima (or "Freak Island")
Alice From Hell (can't recall if gore is consistent throughout)
Chainsaw Man
Claymore

Can't really go wrong with any of these, to be honest wit ya. I can't speak to most anime adaptations where they exist though. I've seen the first season of Dorohedoro and it's pretty much exactly the same as the manga and I enjoyed it, but I don't know if you'd want to wait a few years between every season to complete the series. I don't think there is even a second season yet and it was a decently long manga series. The Gantz anime is complete dog shit.
