I worked on a reality show with Luther Campbell that featured him raising two of his “kids” that actually didn’t live with him. It was for VH1 and was described as an “urban Hogan Knows Best”
One of the last days of filming the feds showed up because he had owed a ton of money and hadn’t paid it (I think tax related) and we had to separate our camera gear from his stuff because they were trying to confiscate our equipment. His mansion was straight out of the 80s - it was like a Time Machine and hadn’t been updated since he was a thing. For a short time its company Luke Enterprises (porn videos) was listed on the NY stock exchange but shortly went under a dollar share and was a penny stock.

It is, the show was called “Luke’s Parental Advisory” and only lasted 1 season. One episode we had him meeting one of his many “other” kids for the first time. The two kids were a boy and girl of around teenager age yet he had other ones we didn’t use. The show was him being a “dad” while it was clear he never did shit with his kids. He was marrying this rich woman who was a lawyer and from a wealthy family in Dallas Texas. Her moms family had to wire the money to make the feds go away when they tried to take his shit. We had to wait outside with all our gear while the situation was figured out since they were trying to grab our (then brand new) HD Sony cameras which at the time was a major investment as tv starting the switch to HD.
He had recorded a theme song / comeback song for it called “Luke’s Rodeo” or “Uncle Luke’s Rodeo” that we did an episode where he filmed a music video but he fucked up and didn’t clear a sample properly so VH-1 had to switch to a generic theme song.
Doug E Fresh performed at his wedding we filmed for the show.
LKEN was his short lived penny stock for his company that produced Adult Videos. I think he also was involved with publishing a couple adult magazines but like the REAL fat black nasty “freaky” shit. As a joke we had a couple of the issues in the men’s room of the production company office.
Oh, and a year after the show he got arrested for falling behind on child support payments. Some “great dad” as what we tried to make him look on TV. Remember guys, reality tv is fake as shit.
