Being an actor in those cheesy lifetime movies looks to be the best career choice as an actor. You get to act with hot bitches that didn't make it in mainstream hollywood, you're not too famous so you can actually go outside without being harassed, and if these lifetime christmas movies are anything to go by, you always have work because they're shooting like 100 of the same movie at any given time for next christmas.

Nah man. Pope does not suck. Mickey and Eric are both fucking golden in it with their chemistry. Geraldine paige is great. It really is an actors movie. Eric is, in my opinion, way better than his fucking peers in the 80’s. Star 80, runaway train, king of gypsies, pope, etc. he pisses all over say, 80’s Sean Penn. He does ham it up at times but it’s intentional.
