Do You Still Play Video Games?

I saw Danny and his harassers going back and forth about fucking video games so I have to ask... Is this a thing? Are most grown adults still playing video games?

I'll admit, my video game area was mostly stand up coin ops and my last console was Nintendo 64. I just remember turning 15 and suddenly I couldn't give a rat's ass about gaming any longer! There was music, girls, porn, the Internet, movies, sports, etc, etc...

Am I that old that I don't get it? If you're still playing video games, how old are you? I'm guessing maybe if you're in your 40s, MAYBE your generation still is into them. Am I right?

I’m 41. I play games for about 2 hours or so every night with a big session on Fridays and Saturday nights.

I say “games”. It’s mostly just pubg.

I used to watch tv shows or movies, now I just have nostalgic shit on the Telly while I’m gaming. Can’t be bothered to invest in anything new because who gives a fuck about some Netflix show?

Exercise, work, family, pubg, read before bed, repeat. It’s where I am currently. I’ve never been a man of many hobbies

Gaming basically died for me when Sega left the hardware business.

Not that I didn't try - new arcade cabinet by them during my travels? I'd take fifteen minutes and then fuck off. And if someone had a game that looked interesting, I would try it, but never invest too much time.

I practically bled Megadrive in the 90's, and have probably forgotten more memories drinking and playing ISS than I actually remember.

Video games are ultimately just a waste of time. Identifying as a gamer is like identifying as a TV watcher. Its nothing to be proud of at all, and the more hours per week you sink into it the more shameful it becomes.
