If they still had that $100k, do you know how many kids probably would have gotten molested? We basically saved those kids.

You know the word heroes gets thrown around a lot in our society, but without question, we are the greatest heroes in America history.

Daily reminder that the SFWA is taking Disney to court over royalties for writers of Star Wars books, but decided to divert six figures of their scarce funds so Piggy could sue people who were mean to him online.
That suit is completely for show. Disney has been employing the most Cutthroat lawyers in the world for over half a century. We seen the quality of lawyer the sfwa pays for. They know fully well they're going to get trounced.

They settled, but I can't find anything about it anywhere. It would have been done behind the scenes. I don't believe there was anything filed with the courts. The amount they owed Alan Dean Doster was so negligible it didn't even register to Disney.

It also isn't just the SFWA it is some "task force" https://www.writersmustbepaid.org/faq

The Task Force is comprised of the following associations that advocate for writers and their rights, though we will support all affected creators: Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, Inc., (SFWA), the Authors Guild, Horror Writers Association (HWA), International Association of Media Tie-In Writers (IAMTW), International Thriller Writers, Mystery Writers of America (MWA), National Writers Union, Novelists, Inc. Looks like they have a form where you can submit your issue.
