I bought a mid-range Google Pixel almost two years ago. I'll keep using it for another two years if it keeps running. It's pretty much just a Walkman with an instant messenger that can also be used for the occasional cat pic.

I have had the same phone since 2016 and can't find a reason to get a new one, I can do just about everything the new ones do, the only app I use are brave, the alarm/calander, the camera, and instagram. I feel like phones are expensive fidget toys that have your wallet in them (if you use that tap pay horse shit).

I know people who think they're being humble for only upgrading their mobile every three years lol. the last iphone I owned still had the home button, and that was only two years ago. the only reason I even upgraded at all was because my cellular company told me they legitimately couldn't support it any longer and were effectively going to be bricking it, so they mailed me a free iphone 14. I'll probably hold onto this one for another 8 years, too
