Bas Rutten is still one of the most ruthless badasses alive. Hes up there with Dan the beast Severn, Don Frye, Tank Abbot (white power SS tattoos on him visibly shown in the ring in UFC 3 I believe), Mark Kerr, Mark Coleman in my top 10 fav early MMA fighters. I love John Rocker and he can talk shit with the best of em, but all of these dudes would make short work out of him in under 10 seconds easily.

Yes Tank would be steamrolled these days. He has minimal to no real basic fundamentals. Hed still kick 95% of untrained men in a no holds barred street fight like w Rocker tho. He just had HEADSTRAWNG, HE’LL TAKE YOU ONNN mindset and went out there to swing for the fences every time he went in the octo. He strikes me as the type of guy who didnt see it as a sport, he just saw it as a way to make money off of what he was doing all the time anyways. He would barely make it in the amateurs in todays mma world. But at the time wed never really seen anything like it.
I dont think Ken Shamrock would do too hot these days either. Rewatching his fights he was rly sloppy. Left himself open a hell of a lot. Rutten, Frye, Severn, Oleg Tektarov, and Coleman all stand the test of time IMO.

I don't know how many fighters he could take on, but I appreciated him defending Ozzie Guillen rightfully calling Jay Mariotti a fag. And he didn't bother denying taking steroids either, which was refreshing.

I’ve listened to Rocker on a few things. I’d probably honestly chill with the guy. Jeff Pearlman writes a lot of hit pieces. He’s a wormy little cunt.
Rocker is 6’5” and he has pretty good muscle tone. I’ve never seen him throw a punch or a kick to determine if he’s a good striker or not, so I can’t honestly answer the question.
