Consumer Report: Ice Trays

You ever realize you've tried a few of one product and finally found one that works?


This piece of shit is newer than the 1930s but not by much and all of our grandmas have them.

I have no idea what makes them fuck up in breaking cubes out half of the time, but if you have one of these for yourself are you fucking retarded?
Here's what I learned:

These things, rubber, very nice, you can pry these cubes out without breaking the tray.

Only problem is THEY'RE SHIT
Big squares are nice, but only 6 per tray and a long ass freeze time
Circular is a shit mess, it's supposed to be simple to make ice, if you need 2 layers then it isn't worth it
Small sextuples work on paper, but are very very tiny and you pretty much need to finger poke them out one by one each time.


These are what I use:

Perfect mix of sturdiness and easy, full pop-outs, and comes in a pack of 4


Can't tell what the fuck these are, and am not trying.

im all in with the ice cube trays to be honest wit cha. my man freaking reviews does good coverage of these. I don't care what anyone says - the 50's? stainless steel ones are the kind I like. Fashion over function for me when it comes to ice.

We used those when I was a kid. You had to run a little warm water over the lever and the bottom of the tray to get it cracking, but they worked pretty well from what I remember. I tried to find some recently, but all the models were labelled as antique or vintage and I felt old and sad.

The only problem I have is that if you have an old school fridge like me, the ice cubes you put in your drink reek and taste like absolute shit because whatevers in the fridge circulates up to the freezer. Nothing like drinking water and tasting your pork fried rice leftovers
