For most of their marriage he has been fighting the same trolls and losing on a regular basis. Not only losing online but actually financially committed to years long legal battles. I think it's very telling that he doesn't name the movie. Seems like a lie. Knowing Pat, specifying that it was a 1920's film just makes it seem like he wants us to think he has a refined taste. Not sure I've ever seen him talk about older movies(pre 1950s).
