Something about Zeihan I don't like. I prefer a more academic and even tone when discussing these matters. He also tends to over exaggerate. There's a whole lot of India ball washing with him, and while there's certainly a huge potential there they also have seemingly insurmountable issues caused in large part by a ridiculous bureaucracy. It's taken them ~40+ years to put together a light fighter aircraft and a failed tank with >60% foreign components and I don't see these kinds of very real roadblocks discussed enough with Zeihan.

Back in the beginning of the pandemic there was a huge clash on the himalayas between Chinese and Indian troops and the Indians were walloped. There's a long standing effort by the US deep state (who Zeihan is on its payroll) to "elevate" India to minion status, but so far its military brass are bobbing their heads and doing the "yes saar" schtick, but also back room dealing with the Russians (who have a massive presence there):
