Not only do they like them, Al Sharpton and Ben Crump believe this will not only hurt black people but encourage them to find illegal ways to get them which will get them in legal trouble. I sure hope they don’t try to ban fried chicken or grape soda - then we’ll have riots!

That’s what makes it so funny - you’ve got Al Sharpton leading civil rights groups to stop this ban because black people - to which Al Sharpton appointed himself spokesman for all black people - can’t help themselves when it comes to self control and this will only lead to black people committing crimes related to getting illegal menthol cigarettes.

I forget who said it - maybe Patrice - but isn’t it odd how the only race of people that need a person to speak for all of them is black people? There’s no Asian or Hispanic go-to spokesperson that is the “official” voice for everyone of that race.

Yes, a lot of rap videos started using it / mentioning it in songs after that. They are taught they are supposed to drink that and nothing else. I once worked with this black guy who didn’t really drink so he didn’t know much about it but assumed everyone - white people included - drank Hennessy. He was shocked to learn only ghetto black people drink it because that’s who it is marketed to. It wasn’t until Diddy started being the spokesperson for Ciroc to get black people to drink that brand of vodka.

They banned menthols in Ontario a few years ago. I loved the Camel Crush type ones with the little ball that you break in the filter. I miss them so much. You can still get regular menthols on the native reserves but they suck because they're the shitty injun knockoff brands.
