I didn't hate it, but it doesn't compare at all to the first. I watch the first every Christmas. I think I've only rewatched the second once. It feels much more like your average R rated studio comedy and is missing all the things that made the first one feel so original. Didn't help that it was another sequel released a decade after the first. Those almost never turn out good.
I'd say it's worth watching once. But don't get your expectations up
