I read the book years ago, like when I was in middle school or high school.

This movie is retarded lol. I remember the book being "ok" but that was before I woke up to jews. In the book the kid kills the teacher and starts shooting at cars on the high way. In the movie he just threatens to black mail the teacher (played by Ross lol). The movie ending makes no fucking sense but what ever, It sucked anyway.

So where is the Steven King book calling out the Nazi's America hired to work the space program? Never mind.

It's a premise I wish more people would rip off since Found the execution lacking.

Anyway, here's what I think of whenever I hear Apt. Pupil these days.

Also, like I said it's been years since I read it. But classic Steven King where he writes about kids sex lives.
From the Lawsuit section of the film's wikipedia's page:

For Apt Pupil, Bryan Singer filmed a shower scene in which Todd Bowden, saturated with horrific stories from Kurt Dussander, imagines his fellow showering students as Jewish prisoners in gas chambers. The scene was filmed at Eliot Middle School in Altadena, California on April 2, 1997, and two weeks later, a 14-year-old extra filed a lawsuit alleging that Singer forced him and other extras to strip naked for the scene. Two boys, 16 and 17 years old, later supported the 14-year-old's claim. The boys claimed trauma from the experience, seeking charges against the filmmakers including infliction of emotional distress, negligence, and invasion of privacy.[58] Allegations were made that the boys were filmed for sexual gratification.[59] The local news shows and national tabloid programs stirred the controversy. A sexual crimes task force that included local, state, and federal personnel investigated the incident. The Los Angeles District Attorney's office determined that there was no cause to file criminal charges,[16] stating, "The suspects were intent on completing a professional film as quickly and efficiently as possible. There is no indication of lewd or abnormal sexual intent."[59] The scene was filmed again with adult actors so the film could finish on time.[12]

The Hollywood Reporter wrote in 2020, "Singer was one of several defendants named in the suits, which reportedly were settled for an undisclosed sum, with the plaintiffs bound by confidentiality agreements."[60]
Lotta chomos in Hollywood and the entertainment industry. The page also says that Stephen King sold the rights to Singer for a dollar. Wonder why they had such a tight relationship...

Not sure which scene is more ridiculous - tossing the cat in the oven or brad renfro telling ian mckellen to march

Slightly better is the nazi Ryan gosling movie where he knows about everything about the Holocaust besides the fact it didn’t really happen that way. Like they really tossed babies in the air and caught them on the end of a bayonet.

I read Steven King's "On Writing" years ago (I think that was the name of the book, I'm too lazy) and he said he has a policy that he would sell the rights to any of his stories for $1 because he just loves movies so much, and his agent hates him for it.

Totally believable.

I think it depends on who he sells it to, I read that he had sold some for 1 dollar to students so they could make short films based on his work and shit like that.

And then he complains that he hates the movies except for the shitty ones.

There's a movie called Jack The Bear I remember from when I was a kid that was just a fucking downer but it was about a neo nazi Gary Sinise abducting Danny Devito's kid and the kid ends up all mute and retarded from the trauma. Danny Devito sure likes a dark story.

Edit: I only thought of this movie because I remembered Brad Renfro being the main kid. It's not him. The "boys have a penis, girls have a vagina" kid from Kindergarten Cop/Pet Sematary is the one who gets abducted and molested retarded though.

Bryan Singer is arguably the most prolific and successful pederast in all of Hollywood and it seems as though his juice in the industry has finally run out. He showed up to the bohemian rhapsody set late and or fucked up on drugs so much they replaced him. If he has any sense at all hell pull a Dan Schneider and walk away from the spotlight while the getting is good. But of course he's not, he's making a documentary proving his innocence and chalking up the litany of accusations against him as slanderous homophobia. He will be ruined before he dies. There's just too much out there about him. And now that he's not producing money anymore there's no reason to keep him around.

Apt Pupil is among my favorite King novellas, though I do feel as though the premise was better than the story itself. The weird sex shit in the book and movie were very off putting for different reasons. I agree with you on the ending, the story ending was way better.
