Succession is great and Vice had its moments. Anchorman/Talladega Nights and all that shit is puerile crap. As someone who worked in a bulge bracket bank through and after 2008, The Big Short was The Crash for (test) dummies but kind of hit the broad strokes and panicked mania of that time. Margin Call was way more realistic though.

This current season fucki g blows. I tapped out weeks ago. I get that they want to make this a critique of the Murdochs, but when Kendall started talking about how the network is "destroying democracy," I bailed.

I disagree. It had a dip for one episode (UTI one) but has otherwise been great. Why would that bother you when Kendall is more or less consistently portrayed as a loser who's completely out of his depth. The weird banter between Tom and Greg, Roman's faggotry and Shiv's ever expanding ass is enough to keep me watching. And Logan is the best.

Every actor on that show is great but the guy who plays Kendall, his acting at the end of the last episode of season 1, when his own father is literally blackmailing him over a dead body, is some of the best acting I've seen anywhere in anything.

Every actor on that show is great but the guy who plays Kendall, his acting at the end of the last episode of season 1, when his own father is literally blackmailing him over a dead body, is some of the best acting I've seen anywhere in anything.

He was perfectly cast. It's great seeing him switch gears in his head. Going from being delusional and oblivious to moments of realization that he then has to bluff his way through. Every decision and reaction feels so contrived but with just enough awkward humanity you don't dismiss his character entirely. If he put on a bunch of weight he could play a perfect Patrick Tomlinson.
