When Tony and Mike had that secret meeting on the tour bus with their accountant and manager after the shows in Italy (while we were on our way to Switzerland, where I'm playing tonight, of all things), I blew up at them as my way of saying "We're either all in this or not".

I was willing to be a united front with them; I know their egos had to be taking a beating with the album sales, ticket sales, and middling reviews, but at the same time, think of what I was facing: everyone out there wanted Phil Collins, and I'm not Phil. I'm not Peter, either. I'm just Ray fucking Wilson of Stiltskin and Guaranteed Pure, the singer YOU wankers chose. Give me the support and time to win these people over - don't pick the wrong fucking encore to play and then leave me on stage alone to the indifference of an upset crowd.
