Hello Chairperson Dubois
I hope this message finds you well. I was very saddened to learn about the financial woes of the Confusion Con. I have been a lifetime supporter of cons, and wish to offer you my services if it will help. My services are information, and hopefully this information will save you enough time and money to have a successful convention.
It's unfortunate that while you struggle, a science fiction organization like the SFWA will not use their hefty pockets or wealthy members to lift your con from its troubles, however they recently spent approximately $100,000 of members dues fighting a court case that they quickly lost.
Here are the case files, https://webapps.sftc.org/captcha/ca....sftc.org/ci/CaseInfo.dll?CaseNum=CPF21517455
Here is a screenshot of the judgement and fees awarded to the person who Patrick S. Tomlinson will tell you is a cyberstlaker

If he's a cyberstlaker why is a court ruling in his favor? The Judge also tore into Patrick's defense lawyer. It was extremely embarrassing... for him.
You can watch the court case here. It is "California Court#2"

If Patrick S. Tomlinson is a victim of some suspicious cyberstlaker campaign why did a court rule against him, and award fees to one of the people Patrick claims is "stalking" him?
Is it because perhaps Patrick is a liar and a grifter?
When people mention the above court case on social media he accuses them of lying, however you can see yourself with your own eyes. Who is the liar?
Yes, Patrick has people trolling him. That is true. I have seen them. But he is a public figure, and he trolls people himself through his twitter account. In fact, he exclusively uses it to mock, degrade and abuse people all day long. A troll isn't a cyberstlaker, especially when he is the one following them around.
Through his reddit account you will find LITERALLY thousands of posts where he follows people around to where they are posting and insults them instead
Can you imagine if George RR Martin went all around the internet insulting anybody that called him names. When South Park made fun of Martin he laughed it off. When people make fun of Tomlinson, he abuses the legal system to punish them.
What you can't see are the hundreds of DMCA requests he made on screenshots of social media posts (fair use) or memes (also fair use). Also there are many other websites where Patrick has been made fun of that he repeatedly tries to sue or deplatform. He has made many violent threats which have been archived and documented and saved for any future court cases. He searches out people anywhere who might mention him in a negative way and bullies them.
The trolling he receives currently is a result of people reacting to his toxic behavior. It is completely self inflicted, and unfortunately like any bully he looks to raise his numbers by dragging innocent people like you and your con into this.
Your event is completely safe from "cyberstlakers". They don't really exist. Nobody cares that much. They are simply internet trolls he has picked up from years of abusive behavior online, which you can easily see for yourself, if you do the slightest bit of due diligence.
If you think that he is completely truthful, then by all means, ignore this letter. It shows what a kind and trusting heart you have, that you are willing to help those in need, no matter how dubious.
However, if you suspect that some of what I said may be true (and I have linked to government websites), then why not charge him for the extra security and administration. And if he doesn't pay, revoke his ticket.
Remember, he used $100,000 of organization funds to punish people that were making fun of his toxic behavior. Would $100,000 save your Con from going under?
Yours sincerely Johnathon Doe, Esq
