I'm confused, it ended kind of abruptly. So the tentative ruling still stands? Does Niki have to pay Quasi?

I think Mayr was trying to make the point that sanctions shouldn't be awarded because they're not going after Quasi for his free speech. But then Pena said he's a named Doe in Wisconsin, and the legal briefings submitted directly address Quasi's posts, making it a free speech issue.

So Mayr wants to argue Quasi defames Patrick enough to satisfy Krinsky when it suits him, and then argue Quasi has nothing to do with defamation and is just the website operator when it suits him (when it's time to pay).

Not a lawyer though.

I assume the two parties have to come to an agreement on repayment. I don't think can repay anywhere near the full amount without selling assets. This is going to get ugly.

quasi will likely have to get a judicial lien or something. plenty more milk on the horizon from rick not paying up.

Exactly. It seems that quasi didn't "get loan shark money". He can probably just leave it as a lien on the half house and collect interest for years until it sells. Why would he come to any agreement when Pat is on a recording saying he should be put to death and will never pay him a cent. He probably wouldn't even agree to any seTTlemenT anyway.
