I couldn't find the info quickly so we're gonna catalogue it here so we can pump up our numbahs
Story:
I noticed water dripping onto my passenger side feet tray thing when I made sharp turns, I looked it up and they said the tray that it drips condensation onto is overflowed or clogged so I gave it the old taco meat treatment and let it be
This week I get into my car and notice that the inside of my windshields has some kind of condensation build-up. So I decide I should try to fix that thing this weekend.
Turns out my entire passenger front and backside(somehow) carpet was soaked. I dropped this paper towel on it and it got soaked immediately.
Please don't make fun of how pale my hand looks:
I tried to show the puddle it made when you pressed into it but it dried out enough by then, it was still very wet.
So you peel of the plastic thingy here it just pops off:
and then you can pull back the carpet to see this:
What confused me most was that water was leaking onto that hose you see, from above somehow
Turns out that is the correct hose where it's supposed to leak water out of, they look like this:
Some people say to poke a screwdriver into it, some say to use an air compressor.
I was lucky in that all I had to do was kinda massage the other end of the tube as far as i could reach, and water started spilling out of it.
So this dumb shit was leaking water into my carpet every time I turned on/off my car cause that's how it's supposed to work, I start it up and watch all this shit dump out
Also I think it got clogged because the end of that tube was actually stuck up on something, so maybe small solid objects or bugs got stuck at some point, that's how I initially found it by looking under my car.
Thru the hood this is where it is:
You can't reach it from there, but you can reach under but it's pretty far.
There, you just fixed your shitbox Forte.
