What a weird thing to worry about. I was an amateur skateboarder for some months. I had my picture in magazines and shit, but was I selling skateboard decks? Nope. I'm no pro. So I got dumped quick. Gave it a try, reached a level most would only dream of, but in the end I'm just a hobbyist. You move on, find something that suits you. You don't want to end up like the Pat of skateboarding, always talking about that one trick (viral tweet) you landed that was oh so great and people will always remember you by. The old skateboarders at parties remind me of him, always blabbing about what they used to do before they were broken and everything went wrong. Who gives a fuck, why hang on to a culture that left you in the dust. Like napolean dynamite and the uncle who can't shut up about how he was good at football. You got that one trick, that one viral tweet, that one touchdown, leave with some dignity. Absolute buffoon trying to ride the coat tails of the past. That report is really outdated (four years old). The real stats must be terrible.
