That's not necessarily bad, but given these idiots it definitely is. You can pay a lawyer to submit some paperwork and a friendly assessment from an "expert" and get the value knocked down if you don't plan on selling any time soon to lower your taxes. That extra bedroom you converted from a garage is still a garage because the "window doesn't open". Shit like that. Not saying that's what happened. I paid a lawyer $1,200 and made back $1,500 the first year on lower taxes. You just get it assessed again before you sell.
