If you owe the government $50 for a parking ticket and don't pay, depending on the state they will suspend your license and if they find your car, tow and hold it for ransom. But if a civil court rules someone owes you $50k and they don't pay, most of the time they won't do dick.

When I become governor of Wisconsin I'm going to shake things up. I'll let citizens who have won monetary judgements in civil court cut the government in on enforcing it for a taste; I'm thinking 20%. Don't pay and we'll send the cops over to hold you by your ankles and shake you until change falls out of your pockets. #CoomByYaWIGov2026

I agree it sucks for quasi, but as I'm not involved in the debt at all i can be a bit impartial. It sucks for people who have actual debtors "dodging dem", but credit card companies, medical debts or whatever have the same protections for someone in debt. You want roadblocks for some shitty debt collector to tow your car out of your driveway and be all oops you have the same name as someone. Or you'll see in other shitty countries where they set up shell companies, manufacture a debt, then just basically legally steal your shit.

It should be hard to collect debt and take your shit or make you homeless. We're likely too far the other way where deadbeats can skate by, but given the best of both bad options, being on the side of the individual and not a corporation is the better option. There's probably a way to have different laws when the creditor is a company vs an individual who has been wronged, but the laws are retarded.

Nice nuanced mature view, stupid.
